Both my boys (aged 6 and 10) thoroughly enjoyed this book and could easily relate to the main character, Hero, and the challenges he and his friends face. The theme of Kindness is so relevant and important. This book has such a wonderful message not only of encouraging kindness but also kindness to oneself; which is easy to forget. My boys especially enjoyed looking for the hidden bees on each page and the bonus activity page at the end. The illustrations are beautiful! An absolute success in our house and the boys can't wait for the next one! Highly recommended with a five out of five from us!

My 7-year-old daughter absolutely loved Hero and the book about Kindness. It is rare that she will stay focused and interested in an entire book. The book is entertaining, interesting and fun to read. It is also educational, which is great! We can't wait for the next book!

Kindness is Super Cool is a wonderful story to show children the true power of being kind to others. As a teacher I am constantly looking for engaging and clear ways to communicate this behavior to my students and Hero's character portrays how to handle positive and negative social situations appropriately and in a fun and engaging way. The rhyming makes the story easy to read and memorable for the children and the illustrations are beautiful. They create great opportunities for asking and answering questions and ensure that the children can follow the story. I can't wait to have the whole series in my classroom in our precious reading corner. Thank you Anita Polly.

Every one of us is different, yet we are all connected through our shared bond of humanity. Hero Learns About Diversity celebrates the diverse nature of humans in all its forms. With text from Anita Polly and some eye-catching illustrations by Julie Ibarra, the book follows a young boy named Hero. He is a curious child who is excited about the upcoming art project at school. During the art show, Hero notices how the giant canvas is splashed in a beautiful blend of colors with prints that differ from each other. It seems diversity makes everything more beautiful. During the lunch break, Hero launches a diversity mission of his own, observing how all his friends look different, have different tastes in food, and have hobbies and interests that make them unique. As the world gets increasingly smaller, communities have become more heterogeneous. When various cultures and ethnicities come together, it creates a wonderful exchange of ideas and drives us forward into a brighter future. This is why books like Hero Learns about Diversity are so needed for our times. Anita Polly's rhyming verses tell an engaging story that children will love to read. Complemented by some beautifully drawn artwork by Julie Ibarra, the book is an absolute joy to go through. Hero is a relatable child, and kids will find his story not only entertaining but also educational. Toward the end of the book, there is a diversity-related interactive questionnaire for readers. This is a must-read for children.

Hero Learns about Diversity is a children's picture book about embracing our differences by Anita Polly with illustrations by Julie Ibarra. It follows the story of a little boy named Hero. Hero has lots of friends that he shares many similarities and differences with. At first, he does not notice these differences, but one day he has an epiphany that leads him on a mission. Hero observes his friends and discovers the foods they love to eat, the games they enjoy playing, the music they listen to, and many more things they differ in. Join Hero as he learns about diversity and being unique. Every child is different, and this is what makes them unique. Hero Learns about Diversity teaches children the importance of inclusivity and acceptance. We all come from different households and have varied cultures, foods, and languages, but we all want to live in a united world for our children where everyone understands each other. Anita Polly delivers the message beautifully in this creative story about Hero. I enjoyed reading it and loved Hero's curious personality. He takes his mission seriously, and it was enlightening to discover the little details that differentiate us from each other. The colorful illustrations bring the characters to life. Hero's red cape was my favorite image because it made him look cute. Julie Ibarra does a beautiful job with her art, drawing hidden images of bees throughout the story. Finding them will be a fun activity for children while listening or reading. Brilliant work.

Hero Learns about Diversity is a children’s story written by Anita Polly and illustrated by Julie Ibarra. Hero is surrounded by people with different tastes, preferences, features, and backgrounds in his community. One morning, on the way to school, Hero confuses a man’s home country with a popular food. Embarrassed by his mistake, Hero vows to pay better attention to others around him so he doesn’t make similar blunders. After a colorful art project at school, Hero notices that his friends are dissimilar in the foods they like and their favorite activities. He concludes that his diversity mission will be ongoing as he will meet people with differences throughout his life and will always seek knowledge to interact with them appropriately. Anita Polly has written a lovely tale that will delight children with its rhyming structure and vibrant pictures. The most powerful text is written in a rainbow of colors, symbolizing the differences between Hero and his classmates. In addition, Anita provides a list of questions at the end that invites children to explore what they know about other countries and cultures. The exercise offers a perfect way to extend the discussion and stereotypes by helping children think about their answers and why they selected a particular county. Hero Learns about Diversity is an excellent story for young children who have noticed the differences between themselves and others. Although it is geared toward younger children, older children will enjoy it and the questions at the end of the book.
